Handcrafted FOF "Veggie" full tang high carbon steel kitchen blade

Sorry, this item has sold.

Veggie, 5" blade, 1 3/4" tall base, 9 1/2" overall, 3/32" thick high carbon 52100 alloy with aged oak scales and hydrofit pins. Razor and I mean hair popping razor sharp. These will slice nice and thin, great for kitchen prep.

The price is for one blade.

The corrosion resistance and high hardness make 52100 a great choice for cutlery. It's trickier to heat treat than a simple high carbon steel but the results are well worth the extra effort. A simple hand wash and dry with a little food safe silicon or cooking spray will keep the blade fresh for years to come. I can create any color handle you would like. If you have any questions about this blade or any others I make please ask. I make each blade fully expecting the user to actually use the knife. I make every attempt to ensure the quality of my work is unquestionable. Thank you for looking. - Ben

So far so good. Use this little thing to cook Mexican food, so a lot of acidity (tomatoes, lemons) and it developed slight corrosion buildup. However, I used my Japanese rust eraser and quickly removed it. I cook a lot and have other carbon knives that I do this with, so not a big deal. I bought it primarily because this design avoids having a sharp stabbing end so it would be safer for my younger children to use. Unfortunately it seems that everyone likes it so much that it never stays in the knife drawer for long. 2nd knife from Fallen Oakā€¦.. So far. Cheers Cesar

Beautiful blade, and the aged oak handle feels great in your hand. This was a gift for an awesome chef who loves it very much!

I was looking for American made knives that were not prefabbed over seas and then assembled and finished in the US. Found Ben's store and it checked all the boxes. Really enjoy my new "veggie" knife. We call it tomato knife. Gets daily use and will slice a radish so thin you can see through it. Blade angle makes it great for prep work and then you can flip it upside down to sweep your cutting board.
